very once in a while, it’s a good idea to get out of your comfort zone and go somewhere new. If you don’t have a lot of free time, you could try and take a short or weekend break in Lanzarote where you are guaranteed to have an unforgettable experience.
Lanzarote is located in the cluster of the Canary Islands and less than 100 miles from the African coastline. It offers the fun of a Spanish holiday and at the same time feels like an escape to a desert island. Lanzarote offers year round warm weather, with warm breezes and a dry climate, and stunning volcanic landscape.
If you’re traveling with a group or as part of a family, you’ll find that Lanzarote hotels are very kind to your wallet, with many hotels charging less than €200 a night. Some of the beautiful hotels you could stay at include Pueblo Marinero, Aqua Suites, and the Nautilus.
The crown jewel of Lanzarote is Timanfaya National Park, with beautiful rock formations and coach tours of the lava fields. It is centrally located in the island and is easily accessible. You can also go snorkeling, swimming, sunbathing and surfing along the sandy beaches, and even go golfing in Puerto Del Carmen. If you’re a night owl, there are excellent nightclubs and bars for you, as well as a wide range of top quality restaurants, including Lani’s Restaurant cafe, which has a spectacular view of the sea as you eat.
Whatever your interests, a short or weekend break in Lanzarote will have something for you.
