here are different types of hearing aids, usually recommended depending on the level of deafness and whether or not they are visible.
Invisible in the Canal (ITC)
As the name suggests, this hearing aid is completely invisible on the outside. It is usually custom fitted for people who need it. It is ideal for people who have mild to moderately severe hearing loss.
Completely in Canal (CIC)
This one differs from the invisible in Canal in that there is a small part visible outside the canal. This part is used for putting in the hearing aid. The hearing aid is suitable for people with mild to moderately severe hearing loss.
Behind the Ear
This one is custom made for people who do not mind the hearing aid being visible outside the ear. They are mainly used for children since they need to be replaced as the child grows. These hearing aids are the easiest to clean and handle. They are ideal for mild hearing loss
On the ear aids
These are similar to Behind the Ear aids, only usually smaller. They are more comfortable than behind the ear aids and since they are smaller, can be visible in some cases. They are ideal for mild hearing loss.
