A uto Express have compiled a list of the top second hard cars to buy in 2014 based on the Used Car Awards 2014 (yes, there’s an award for that). The list touches on a bit of everything - from family cars to estates, SUVs and anything in between, and it runs a discerning eye over the pick of premium brands like BMW, Audi, Mercedes and Volvo. Proving that the craze for vintage anything is showing no sign of abating certain everyday car models are gaining a kind of cult status on the buying market. “Original MkI Golf GTIs are fetching serious money,” AutoExpress explains. "A new model now will cost you £995, but in two years time it could fetch a resale price of £2500." Other models, like the MGF (remember that?), the Audi A2 and Range Rover Mkl could also net you a tidy sum when you come to resell. Not many second hand cars can claim to do that…..
