his July 26 – 29, get yourself and your mates to Cornwall STAT! The Port Eliot Festival offers an experience unlike any other you’ll get at your typical summer event. The spectacular began in 2010 with a literary focus and has since grown to include cooking demonstrations, musical headline acts, artists and performers.
Held at the Port Eliot Estate in St. Germans, Cornwall, the event is a 3-day extravaganza fit for the whole family. Check out workshops including beer tasting, book binding and block printing as well as film screenings, artist performances, canoeing and tai chi. Be as active and engaged as you like, or simply enjoy the surrounds, making the most of early morning swims in the ground’s estuary and wandering the estates magnificent gardens.
Food and drink options are plentiful throughout the event, but if you’re camping, you can also bring a few of your own supplies, as long as they fit within the festival’s rules & regulations. Given the line-up of food and drink vendors this year, we’ve no idea why you’d bother packing your own picnic though!
Accommodation is available on site: you can choose to BYO tents or there are a yurt, tipi, and airstream options available too. Off-site is also an option and there are plenty of suggestions at Port Eliot Festival website.
Ticket packages are available for all three days, starting at £170 per adult. One day passes are also available; parking passes are at an additional cost.
