re you thinking about buying a motorcycle? If so, there are chances you have been thinking about this for a while, about all the pros and cons, yet you still can't make up your mind. In order to help you out, we have collected a list of advantages and disadvantages of owning a motorcycle.
Advantages
1. If you are planning on buying a motorcycle as your only method of transportation, which means you don't already own another vehicle, you will be happy to know that most motorcycles are more affordable than a regular car.
2. Something else that is very positive about owning a motorcycle rather than a car is the fact that they have better fuel economy which means you won't spend as much money on petrol.
3. If you like driving you most probably pay lots of attention to the performance of a vehicle, and you will be happy to learn that a motorcycle's overall performance is better than that of an average car.
4. One of the biggest problems about owning a vehicle is that you need to park it. Parking a car can be tricky because you need lots of space, but finding an empty sport for a motorcycle is much easier.
5. And what about the traffic? Getting stuck in it with a car means you will have to wait for everyone else to start moving in order to move yourself. However, sneaking past other drivers with a motorcycle can be done.
Disadvantages
1. One of the problems about motorcycles is that their lifespan is considerably shorter than that of a car.
2. If you live in a place where rain and maybe even snow can be common, driving around with a motorcycle is basically impossible.
3. If you aren't planning on having a family, owning a motorcycle as your only vehicle isn't a problem. However, if you have a family or are planning on having one in the future, owning a motorcycle might not be very comfortable since you won't be able to take your family on it. Also, moving things around such as boxes filled with clothes or other items can't be done with a motorcycle because you just won't have the space.
4. And last, but not least, a motorcycle will never be as safe to drive as a car. And remember, safety on the road is extremely important.
