Museo Atlantico
Located in Playa Blanca, the Museo Atlantico is Europe's first underwater museum, filled with an assortment of sunken sculptures by Jason deCaires Taylor. The museum can be visited by anyone with any diving experience, even offering introductory diving classes in the morning so novices can properly visit in the afternoon.
Museo de la Pirateria
The modest yet captivating museum is situated in the impressive 16th century Castillo de Santa Barbara. The oldest castle in the Canaries is on Guanapay peak with great views across the plains. Fundacion Cesar Manrique (Gallery in Tahiche)
The gallery, which is 6 km north of Arrecife, was home to Manrique who has a posthumous status on Lanzarote. An entire gallery is devoted to Manrique along with minor works by the likes of Picasso, Miro, and Chillida-some of his contemporaries.
At least seven buses stop here daily on their way to Teguise from Arrecife. Watch for the large mobile sculpture by Manrique that dominates the roundabout and retain your ticket.
