T
hailand is a dream destination for most. As a result, it has become one of the trendiest spots for tourists, which kind of ruins the purpose of travelling and immersing ourselves into a new culture and place. If there are more tourists than locals, it’s hard to feel the full experience.
If you are adventurous and want a more secluded and real experience of what Thailand has to offer, here are 3 off the beaten track spots that you must visit:
First, the weekly Wednesday market in Pai. Here, you won’t see many tourists. In fact, you will be able to see many local tribes trading and selling fabrics, spices and tools. You’ll feel like you’re in a film. A great experience, especially if you are looking for a unique souvenir.
Second, Erawan Waterfalls. A beautiful scenery that will leave you in awe for years. Despite being really popular with the locals, tourists don’t usually go there since it’s too far away from the capital. The journey there might not be easy, but you will see a seven-tiered waterfall with turquoise water. A perfect spot for swimming and hiking.
Lastly, the Huay Tung Tao Lake in Chiang Mai. A stunning lake surrounded by beaches and mountains. As if the scenery was not enough, you can even enjoy a nice meal in a floating restaurant. Can you imagine a more perfect scenery to take a loved one?
Enjoy your stay!
