T hroughout history Britain has had some of the best tennis players around. These three, however, managed to rise above all the rest during their careers. Annabel Croft Now known as one of the Sky Sport and Eurosport presenters, Annabel was once a British No. 1 tennis player. Having represented her country in the Fed cup and Wightman cup, she was also a winner at the Virginia Slims tournament in 1985. All of this happened before age 21, when she retired and chose to work in the industry in other capacities. Tim Henman Best known for his six Grand Slam semi-finals, 15 ATP titles, entry at the Paris masters, and his entrance to the semi-finals of Wimbledon, Tim Henman is a living tennis legend. Adding in an impressive 40 wins at the Great Britain Davis Team Cup, it's obvious that tennis is a game Henman was born to play. These days he has retired from professional tennis, but can still be seen on the Champions Tour with other retired players. Greg Rusedski While he played for Canada until 1995, after this point Greg Rusedski was the number one player for British tennis in 1997, 1999, and 2006. He achieved a world ranking of #4 at two different times, and won the BBC Sports Personality of the Year Award. An impressive 30 wins at the Great Britain Davis Team Cup followed, securing his place in the Hall of Fame.
