T he Golden Globes are coming once again, and Hollywood is buzzing with the hype. The biggest stars will gather to see who wins the award. So, who will win the nominations and take home a coveted trophy? Vice is a biopic about Dick Chaney starring Christian Bale and is the movie with the most Golden Globe nominations. It's not out in the UK yet and film fans will have to wait until January to see the political comedy. However, it's clear that the movie and cast are set for success at this year's Golden Globes. The other big movie is Bradley Cooper's "A Star is Born". Here are some predictions for next years winners.

Best Drama Nominations

  • Black Panther
  • BlackKklansman
  • If Beale Street Could Talk
  • A Star is Born
  • Bohemian Rhapsody
A Star is Born is the clear favorite to win the award, but the Black Panther movie is the first superhero film to be nominated for a Best Drama Golden Globe.

Best Musical or Comedy Nominations

  • The Favourite
  • Green Book
  • Crazy Rich Asians
  • Mary Poppins Returns
  • Vice
It's hard for people to predict the winner of this category as there are some strong contenders. It seems the main competition will be between Crazy Rich Asians and Vice, but Mary Poppins Returns might warm the hearts of those who decide who wins.

Best Actress in a Drama

There were five actresses nominated for the Best Actress in a Drama Golden Globe, but let's focus on the ones that critics think stand a chance. Lady Gaga made her film debut in "A Star is Born" and it seems like she might take home the coveted award. However, Melissa McCarthy also made her dramatic debut in her movie "Can You Ever Forgive Me?". The other actresses include Nicole Kidman and Glenn Close, but the general view is the award will go to Lady Gaga.

Best Actress in a Musical or Comedy

Elsie Fisher is one of the youngest actresses to be nominated, at just 15 years old. Olivia Colman from "The Favourite" is tipped to win, but Charlize Theron and Emily Blunt also gave excellent performances. It's a tight category, but it seems Constance Wu from Crazy Rich Asians doesn't have much chance of winning a Golden Globe in 2019.

Best Actor in a Drama

Of course, Bradley Cooper is nominated for his performance in "A Star is Born" and it seems as if he'll take home the Golden Globe.

Best Actor in a Musical or Comedy

Both Christian Bale and Viggo Mortenson are the favourites to win this award. Bale for his role in "Vice" and Mortenson for his in "Green Book". The other actors don't seem to stand a chance against these two, but it's a close call between them both.

Best Director

There's no doubt that Bradley Cooper has a lot of support from the public, and many would like to see him take home the Best Director Golden Globe. However, the clear favourite is Alfonso Cuaron for his Roma movie. It's had positive reviews since its release and many expect he'll win on the night.
