And when it comes to snacking, forget about chocolate bars and bags of crisps, eat nuts or almonds instead and you will feel both satisfied and you will be following a very rich and healthy diet that will not only help you prevent developing diabetes, it will also make you feel much better after a short period of time.

Quit smoking

Hopefully, you are not a smoker because, as you certainly know, smoking is anything but healthy. But, if you are a smoker and you are worried about developing diabetes and you want to avoid it as much as possible, you should quit smoking as soon as possible because smokers have a 50% higher chance of suffering with diabetes than non-smokers.
