t's been over a year since Sony released the PS4 pro, which is still an easy buy for those who are new to the world of PlayStation. The PS4 Pro is Sony's supercharged PS4 version and while it isn't a true next- generation in terms of horsepower or features, the high-performance variant seeks to dish out 4 K pictures, smoother frame rates, and high dynamic range (HDR).
Released towards the end of 2016, PS4 pro has currently established itself as a high-end game with a growing and impressive library of games that use its additional graphical grunt. If you're wondering whether the gaming console is worth it, check this out.
Features and Design
If you're used to the typical PS4, you'll discover that the PS4 pro is wider and taller. While it has a similar parallelogram profile, it has three deck levels to the design along with a similar matte plastic throughout the case and features rounded corners.
It also makes slightly more noise than the Xbox One or the former PS4 but not enough to be irritating. Sony has substituted the touch-sensitive eject and power buttons of the original PS4 with mechanical endeavors similar to current PS4 revisions.
Specifications
Any enhancements to the feature set or physical design are rather inconsequential compared to the PS4 Pro's actual advantage: a revised spec. The PS4 Pro features broadly a similar 8-core AMD Jaguar CPU but runs at 2.13GHz.
The fundamental system architecture is also similar. One of its major features-HDR offers enhanced contrast and a broader range of colours and tones. This enhances the presentation's depth, giving fantastically vibrant and bright highlights.
PS4 Pro versus PS4
Like its peers, PS4 Pro is an incredible system. If you don't own a PS4 and wish to treat yourself, it's the version to purchase regardless of the TV you own. Be willing to spend additional money; it's faster and will render numerous games with extra detail.
On the other hand, if you have a PS4 already, there's no need to spend £349 for a Pro unless you're purchasing a 4 K TV. Even if you're upgrading your TV, try the normal PS4 on it first.
Whether or not this new console will provide benefits for you will differ depending on whether you own a PS4 system already.
