e all know Elon Musk from his recent AI battle against Mark Zuckerberg. He is also the extremely talented, extremely versatile founder of three vastly different business giants PayPal, Tesla and SpaceX.
His versatility and immense knowledge in a vast number of fields, not to mention his unique ability to apply one field to another seemingly unrelated field, has taken all of his companies to great heights. Tesla is, of course, a giant in its own right. Here are some fascinating reasons behind its success.
Innovative Ideas
Elon Musk’s knowledge in so many fields somehow kept him grounded enough to go to the absolute basics of every one of them and make a blend of the basics in such a way that he got a new idea. Musk does not believe in taking anything for granted, and he certainly doesn’t just follow any trend. His eagerness to be a trendsetter instead has worked out pretty well for him.
Game Plan
The Tesla Roadster, from an outsider’s point of view, is a one-off luxury car meant just so the owners can look cool. But right from day one, Tesla had an end goal: to eventually make affordable family cars running on sustainable solar power.
Customer Service
Car dealers and companies are notorious for their bad service after the car is bought. But Tesla isn’t like that. The company believes in retaining its customers, and knows that the only way to do that is to provide exceptional service after the car is bought.
The Niche
Tesla is a company which started off with a unique niche: that of a high-end electric car. It could easily dominate in this niche, because it was the only one there! It wasn’t the end goal, but a step towards it, because any company needs money to survive.
The Team
Elon Musk loves what he does, and wants his team to have a similar mindset. He, therefore, only hires like-minded people to work on his team: people who would be dedicated to his cause and would inherently understand his goals.
