here are several great phone contracts on the market from the U.K.'s top providers. The prices listed below do not include discounts that may be available at various times. In addition, you can often get a discount by purchasing a phone bundled with a contract. All prices below are monthly rates.
EE is a major player with excellent coverage, and possibly the most popular provider. They provide "Essentials" plans with limited minutes starting at £14.99. Standard plans with unlimited texts and minutes and at least 2GB of data start at £22.99. "Max" plans with high data allowances start at £27.99. These EE contracts last for 12 or 24 months, but you can also find pay-as-you-go plans on the EE website.
O2 is another widely used provider. Like EE, it offers great coverage at competitive prices. Low-cost plans with limited minutes start at £10.50. Plans with unlimited minutes and texts with at least 2GB of data start at £19. These contracts last for 12 months, and 30 day plans and pay-as-you-go plans are also available.
Vodafone is yet another popular provider. The coverage is just as wide as that provided by O2 and EE. "Essentials" plans start at £10.50 per month. "Red Extra" plans with unlimited calling and texts and at least 2GB of data are available starting at £18.50 per month. Finally, "Red Entertainment" plans with high-data allowances start at £28 per month. Vodafone's plans last for 12 months, and other 30 day plans and pay-as-you-go plans can be found online.
