Get great abs with these workouts
It is possible to have the abs you have always wanted, whether going to the gym or working out at home. All that is needed is the discipline and the will to get better with time, thereby aiming for the best possible results. Depending on what you want to achieve, various workouts can even be done whenever you have time at home or the gym, and they will reward you with the best abs as long as you don’t give up. These are ten-minute exercises to do to get great abs.
With your feet flat on the floor and knees lifted, lie down with your hands on the thighs and slowly get your back about 3-4 inches off the ground. Hold this position for a few seconds and repeat about ten times. This exercise will help tone your abdominal muscles.
You lie on your front, supported by your forearms and toes. Ensure your shoulders are in line with your elbows, your legs straight and your hips lifted to a straight line from head to toe. Holding this position for about 10 seconds and repeating about nine times will tone your core muscles and lower back. To also target the lower back and core muscles, you can do side planks, whereby you face one side and only support your whole body with one elbow and feet. Ensure your shoulder is directly above your elbow and neck long. Hold the position for a few seconds and repeat.
Stomach crunch with raised legs
Targeting your lower abdominals, lying on your back with hands on the chest, slowly pull your bent knees at 90 degrees to your chest and hold for a few seconds, repeating 12 times.
For oblique muscles. You lie on your back with your feet flat on the floor but knees raised. With hands crossed on your chest, you roll the knees one side to the floor and slowly lift your shoulders a few inches off the floor. Hold for ten seconds and repeat 10-12 times.
