2. Exercise on a regular basis: Another great tip you can follow to lower your blood pressure is to exercise regularly. There is no need to join a gym since going for one hour walks or jogging for 30 minutes every other day is way more than enough. The most important thing is that you are consistent because, if you stop working out, your blood pressure will go up again.

3. Follow a healthy diet: You must have heard about this many times before, but following a healthy diet is an absolute must if you want your blood pressure to decrease. Give up on processed meats and substitute them with chicken or fish. Also, add as many fruits and vegetables to your every day diet as possible and have nuts or almonds as snacks.

4. Don’t drink too much alcohol: If you like to meet up with friends or going on nights out, not having a couple of alcoholic drinks is hard. However, if you want your high blood pressure to get better you should consider not drinking too much because alcohol is known to raise blood pressure.
