How to Make Pancakes

Everyone needs to have a trick for breakfast up their sleeve hence the need to learn how to make pancakes. Fortunately, these are simple to make. You do not have to master any complex procedures for you to get it right. Here is a simple recipe to try.


Every meal requires that you use specific ingredients to cook. Pancakes require plain wheat flour, milk, eggs, a pinch of salt and vegetable oil. The amounts of these ingredients will vary depending on the number of pancakes you want to make.


Pour the flour into a large bowl and make a hole in the center. Pour the milk and eggs then give the whole mixture a thorough whisk. You should whisk the mixture continuously until you make a smooth batter.

To this mixture, add a tablespoon of vegetable oil and whisk some more. Take a large frying pan and clean it well using an oiled kitchen roll. You should then heat the pan for one minute over medium heat. Put just under one ladle full of the batter mixture into the heated pan and swirl it immediately to get an even layer.

Let the pancake cook for twenty to thirty seconds until it gets a golden brown color. Using a palette knife, check the underside for the color changes before flipping it over. Turn the pancake and allow it to cook for a maximum of forty seconds until it turns color which is an indication that the pancake is well cooked. Once the pancake is cooked transfer it to a serving plate. Repeat the process until all the pancakes are ready.


Pancakes can be eaten as a breakfast meal. You can eat them immediately after cooking or have them refrigerated for later.
